This flute is made from a bright yellow piece of Alaskan cedar. I have reduced the price a bit because it has a dark colored glue line. This is just a minor visual flaw and doesn't affect the voice or durability of the flute. This flute has a smooth, sweet voice.

This flute is made out of a colorful piece of Oak that is left over from my fathers cabinet making days. It is old wood and has several large cracks that I decided to full with black resin to accentuate them. This flutes voice is bright and strong.

This flute is made out of a stunning, highly spalted piece of alder. Spalting happens when fungus gets into the wood and starts to break it down creating colorful splashes of color and dark lines. This flute has a mellow, calming voice.

I love the contrast between the red cedar and the alaskan yellow cedar spline on this drone flute! The low profile blocks and matching hole plug are made from walnut, cambia poplar and alaskan cedar. Its voice is strong and bright. Such a delight to play!
The fingering holes are on the right side of the flute and the optional drone hole is on the left. It is better suited for people who play with the left hand on the bottom (left handed people usually play this way)

I can't get over how gorgeous the iron stain with a subtelly darker spline looks paired with the colorful Alaskan yellow cedar and purple heart blocks and hole plug. The truly special thing about this drone though is the voice. It has a clear and sweet voice and it's hard to put down!
