Hi, Attached are three pictures of my "Jurassic Flute" made from one of your Alaskan yellow cedar kits. My name is John Armstrong and I'm from Colorado Springs, CO. I had a lot of fun. The flute was shaped using a hand plane and sand paper. The "pterodactyl" block was carved using a coping saw, drill, plane, pocket knife, and sand paper. Both were finished using a 2# amber shellac, a light sanding between three coats, a finish sand with steel wool, and later rubbed with mineral oil. I enjoyed the experience immensely and look forward to working on more.
