Matt was asked to design a new tuning for
a customer. He worked with it until he came up with
something quite extraordinary-- a distinctive Middle Eastern
sound. Everyone who hears it wants one. The flute not only
has a new tuning but also a new shape and a new fingering..
It features a flat-bottomed block (groove in flute) .
Just as with the pentatonic flute the notes of this flute
all harmonize with each other in a mysterious sounding
Middle Eastern sort of way.
